I have enjoyed teaching children since an early age. In high school, I started my own dance studio. I also began piano lessons in my home as well. My comments on tutoring Vocals : I have been a vocalist for most of my life. I have been a part of a number of recordings and love to work with individual singers and choirs. I tend to employ a quiet but direct approach to learning. Q and A sessions begin each session. We review the homework and past experiences of the student. I encourage students to write down their concerns and mark the areas of confusion at the time these arise. That way the students don't forget to bring them to my attention. I like to break down large projects into smaller components. The success of the student is the primary goal. A feeling of accomplishment is a close second. I back step and reteach as necessary. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school. I presently am a certified substitute teacher in the Cumberland County, PA, public school system, where I teach almost all grade levels and subjects. As a teacher there is nothing more rewarding than the look on a child's face when a skill is mastered or a mystery becomes an understood concept.
