My comments on tutoring Psychology : I have studied psychology and can teach the subject.

I will be graduating from the University of Dayton with a Master's of Education degreee and I have a Bachelor’s degree in History. I love History and want to teach Social Studies in grades 4th-9th. I want to make a difference in the lives of people. I have been a substitute teacher for grades K-12 and have worked in special education classrooms. I want to help children and adults learn and be the best they can be. I have worked with students and adults with special needs, emotional needs, and educational issues.
I learn visually and by reading the subject materials. I teach by showing students what they need to know by reading and using visual aids in my teaching style. I incorporate technology in my teaching because some students are hands on. I teach students in groups and individually.

In my 6 years of teaching experience I’ve come to find out that there is no such thing as a “stupid question.” Each child or adult has a specific way of learning according to their own character. That’s the reason some are faster to learn mathematical concepts while others are faster in literary concepts. I believe in going slow and asking my students to explain what they’ve learned in their own words. If they can do this easily it means they have mastered the concepts. I usually encourage pre-reading before tutoring sessions. A student who has read the chapter ahead will absorb information more easily than one who has not read ahead.
