My preferred style of teaching is student-lead. I believe in the Socratic method, but appreciate following a curriculum, as well. I volunteer at a Montessori school and I know that getting learners of all ages interested and excited about a topic is the key to retention.

I truly enjoy teaching. I believe that a child can learn anything, as long as they have a supportive learning environment. I belive that I have a unique teaching style. I am a whole language and phonetic teacher. I like to teach my children using the multiple intelligences, because we all learn in different ways. When I incoropate my lessons using the multiple intelligences I see great achievements in each and every child in my classroom. The joy that is shown on their faces when they have mastered reading is a very rewarding feeling.
