I think its better that way because most students don't really pay attention to their teachers but they take it better when it comes from another student. Writing papers and reading comprehension is probably my strongest area, I have recieved A's on college level research papers, narratives, and various types of essays. Excellent proofreader as well. For math problems, I usually work problems and explain each step, and then have the student attempt to work a similiar one when they feel like they understand the problems.
