While working I continued studying and earned my license to practice public accounting in April, 2010 by passing all parts of the CPA exam. During my time at Miami, I was employed by the University as a Supplemental Instructor (SI). As an SI, I provided regularly scheduled, out-of-class sessions in a beginning accounting class and realized that I had the ability to help others learn. As an engineer and manager, training employees was an integral component of work performed throughout my ten-year professional career. I tutored students 20-hours per week for four years, providing one-on-one and team services. In high-school, I tutored elementary students in mathematics and reading.
