Experience Summary
I have more than twenty years of experience in the field of accounting. Fifteen years of this experience was in the area of public accounting. I have six years of experience in industry. I have gained valuable training in the areas of accounting and taxation.
During my employment at a public accounting firm one of my responsibilities was the mentoring and training of lower level staff and developing training sessions for the junior staff in the area of taxation. I have always tried to be a good role model for the younger staff wherever I am employed. I have a desire to work with students to pass on the knowledge that I have acquired.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is to find topics which are timely to issues occuring in the areas of taxation and accounting. I also try to give real life examples of how the knowledge can be applied. If the student knows why the topic is relevant to a situation then it is easier for them to remember and to apply that knowledge in the future.
