During my years at Rocky Mountain College, I not only gained my degree in Literature with a minor in writing, but I also began teaching. As a student, I tutored an adorable foreign exchange student for a semester. I also served as a senior editor to the student publication Soliloquy, in which I selected, edited, and arranged writing pieces in the journal. My teaching style has been a very hands-on approach in the past due to my experience with environmental education. As a tutor, I strive to offer my assistance in a way children can understand. I was a substitute teacher assistant for children with special needs ages 3-21, on and off for the past 6 years. I have 6 months of experience in outdoor education teaching various science classes and other outdoor, leadership and art classes/skills. While in college, I took numerous creative writing classes that utilized workshop and group editing techniques.
