My comments on tutoring Piano : I can teach/play in all styles, and greatly prefer working with youth ages 13 and above. I can teach beginning and intermediate students. I have an easy-going style, and work best with self-motivated students.

Flexible. I am trained classically and appreciate the need for the learning of that technique, but am more than willing to accommodate the student's varied musical interests and tastes.
I have over 25 years of experience in the music field, and have worked as a professional pianist in churches, theaters, schools, and colleges. I accompany choirs, private vocalists, voice classes, juries, recitals, and musical theater productions. A Little Bit About Me...

In spring of 2008 I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance. During my time at ASU, I had the opportunity to work with many world-renowned educators and musicians; gaining valuable insight into the world of professional music performance. I have had experience teaching guitar and trombone privately in Arizona since 2004 in addition to playing and recording with well-known groups in the area. Music has also afforded me the opportunity to travel and in 2009, I was fortunate enough to be selected to compete in two jazz trombone competitions in Aarhus, Denmark as part of that year’s International Trombone Festival. While I have been working on my Elementary Education degree I have had the opportunity to teach young children. I have also spent the last two semesters taking methods classes, learning to teach different subjects. I have spent many years babysitting, 2 years teaching an 18 month old basics (counting, abc's, colors, phrases) and eventually complete sentences. For a year I worked with a 4th grader helping with homework and tutoring her in reading and spelling. I have also spent 2 summers working with a 2nd/3rd grader on spelling, basic English concepts, sentences, and reading.
