I have been tutoring for many years with different kinds of children. To begin with, I tutored my younger sister starting when she was about seven years old to age twelve or thirteen. In high school, I also volunteered for an after-school program for Hispanic children ages seven-twelve where I helped them with their homework in various subjects. My teaching style is probably best described as interactive. I encourage students to not only read the assignment and the assigned homework, but to question the validity of the issues being discussed, including what the author has written.
