Experience Summary
Over the course of my career, I have taught at just about every level, from middle school to graduate school. I initially started teaching computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. My area of study is really in history and social studies where I worked with students on improving their composition and essay writing skills as well as organization and study skills for adolescents and adults. I currently have two AP students that I tutor and have worked with the Army and Navy in developing and improving the cognitive skills of new enlisted personnel.
I am currently he Professor of Business Management at Jarvis College in Hawkins Texas where I teach management and information systems. I also teach orgnizational change for Ottawa University, and I am a consultant with ABD (all but dissertation) candidates while they finish their PhD dissertations.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is probably best described as interactive. I encourage students to not only read the assignment and the assigned homework, but to question the validity of the issues being discussed, including what the author has written. By having student examine the issues and using critical thinking, they become better academics, but develop the ability to think outside of the box
