Each child has an individual learning style the teacher needs to discover and build upon. I believe there are many tried and proven methods of education that schools have used over the years to educate students that are still valid. My task as a tutor is to find out something about the difficulties they are having with a particular subject or lesson, and then plot a path that will lead them to success in the particular lesson they are having trouble with. Throughout my years in college I learned theories of education, observed in classrooms and student taught at both the middle school and high school level. After graduating college in 2003, I taught 9th grade English for 2 years in a charter school in Houston, TX.
