My teaching style is Socratic. I find out where the student's understanding lies, and then I lead them through the process of discovery. This is an interactive process. I do not believe that a student will stay involved if they are not actively engaged. Math is somewhat different. After breaking down the method of problem-solving used in the student's textbook, I would guide them step-by-step through the problem-solving process. I was designated "dissector"; Those prepare for the "practical-lab." class for Anatomy. In Egyptian schools of medicine, they still use cadavers. Plastic models are gradually and partially taking over currently.
