A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved to work with children. My job while in college was teaching children at a learning center. I also have tutored several children throughout the years that were having difficulties in either math or English. I have a strong background in math and English, but also have experience in psychology, sociology, and science. I believe a child can achieve whatever they put their mind to, but some times they need a little push to achieve that. There is no need to get frustrated with a child during a learning process because they are during their best and it is our jobs as adults to guide them in the right direction.

A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a firm believer that all children are different, yet, all are capable of learning. It is the responsibility of the teacher/tutor to identify the specific learning style of the students they are responsible for. Once this has been established, there should be a lot of motivation from both, teacher/tutor and the student. I practice one-on-one and hands-on strategies with students so that they may feel at ease, and to relax as they learn, and then I gradually allow them to become more engaged on their own. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with an Elementary Education degree in December of 2005. During this time, I completed my student teaching at Holloway Elementary School.
