Children are amazing artists due to the fact that they don't censor themselves creatively like most adults tend to do. I teach, instilling confidence through positivity and constructive criticism. I encourage children to experiment and discover their own style. I teach the basic fundamentals as well as the techniques of painting and let the children find their own unique style. I love teaching! Seeing a student’s eyes light up, as they first understand a new concept, is very rewarding. I am a very patient and easy-going, yet focused. My teaching style is to lead the student into an understanding of the material through discussion, hands-on projects, practice and mastery. It is important to master the previous material before moving on to the new. It is also important to relate new topics to what the student already knows. This helps the student to not only understand it better but also to remember it better and use it correctly.
