A Little Bit About Me...

Children are amazing artists due to the fact that they don't censor themselves creatively like most adults tend to do. I teach, instilling confidence through positivity and constructive criticism. I encourage children to experiment and discover their own style. I teach the basic fundamentals as well as the techniques of painting and let the children find their own unique style. Turning a blank page into a work of art shows that something beautiful and imaginative can be created through each individual. As a student in a Multiple Subject teaching credential program, I have developed my passion for teaching into the skills necessary for encouraging student success. As a part of my program, I spent 300 hours in a K/1st grade combination class. In the classroom, I had many responsibilities including: assisting the students with their work; teaching language arts, social science, science and math lessons; and working with small groups of students to improve reading skills.
