I will be honest with you. I have never tutored a child before at a professional standpoint. I will say I have always gotten along with children, and have an ability to help them learn, while making it fun as well. I am 24 years old, an only child, and no children of my own. During the session I encourage the student's learning by asking open-ended questions to encourage critical thinking. With writing assignments, the pen is always in the student's hand and, with guidance, the student makes choices about his or her writing.
