Three years of experience in writing and editing as a staff member at the Grand Valley Lanthorn, a student-run newspaper at GVSU. I began as an intern and held various writing and editing jobs throughout my tenure, ultimately departing as editor in chief. My writing has been recognized on the national and statewide level by the American Collegiate Press and the Michigan Press Association. I recently graduated with a B.A. in journalism.
My experience as a newspaper editor helped me to develop a collaborative teaching style. I want to work with students to understand their questions and help them work through them and arrive at the conclusions on their own.
