I taught for St. Paul Schools, District #625. I have been a volunteer with Volunteers of America as a reading and math tutor with students in grades k-3. I worked for at Higher Ground Academy in grade 1, while tutoring third graders in reading and math. then I was a Title I paraprofessional working to improve the Reading skills of students in grades 3-5. I believe that mastery of literacy in speaking, reading, and writing is extremely important for students of all ages.

I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.

I find it thoroughly enjoyable to work with children. My time teaching in Peru has definitely confirmed that for me! I am patient, responsible, and easy going.
