Experience Summary
As a current tutor of the Rochester Public School system in Minnesota, I understand and work with students in K-12 grades. Specifically, I enhance the understanding of students in the subjects of Reading/English. I also tutor adult learners or college students in English proficiency, Mathematics (College Algebra & Statistics), and the Sciences (Nursing, Biology, Anatomy/Physiology; & all Health Sciences. My tutoring experiences include 5 years of tutoring at the K-12 and college level with an expertise in Reading/English proficiency and the Sciences. My work experiences include Rochester Public Schools and the Rochester Public Library. I strongly believe in the value of an education and strive to teach others the skills necessary to become successful.
Teaching Style
It is a team effort! I believe one on one tutoring sessions is an effort between tutor and student to honor and respect each other by making the most of the time. Preparation is key! Being prepared to learn is holistic and involves the mind, body and spirit to be open to receive information and process it. I promise to bring all of the above to each of my students including a professional attitude. I love teaching and tutoring children and adults. The sparkle in the eyes of students’ who complete school tasks is sufficient to make my day. My contribution to society is you, the parent and/or student who is satisfied with the tutoring experience and will impact their future for the betterment of the community.
