Experience Summary
I taught for St. Paul Schools, District #625. I have been a volunteer with Volunteers of America as a reading and math tutor with students in grades k-3. I worked for at Higher Ground Academy in grade 1, while tutoring third graders in reading and math. then I was a Title I paraprofessional working to improve the Reading skills of students in grades 3-5. I believe that mastery of literacy in speaking, reading, and writing is extremely important for students of all ages.
Teaching Style
Children have been my main interest for many years. I have an interest in children learning as much as they can. I believe that understanding and succeeding in Language, (speaking, listening, reading and writing) are the most important elements to all other learning. I have enjoyed working and seeing children become successful in their quest to learn. I differentiate reading to the needs of individual students so that they progress at their levels and abilities. From time to time, I am fortunate to meet former students and am delighted to learn of their successes..
