Jazz Dancing is one of my top subjects! I have taken and taught Jazz dancing. I have choreograph many dance numbers at recitals and competitions. I have done smooth soft Jazz and also fast up beat Jazz. I love the difference in how you can "Jazz" things up with Jazz.

Hey there, My name is Heather Dinsdale. I started Dancing at age 4 and have been dancing for many years. I have been trained in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tumbling/Acro and more! During high school, I got to compete for 3 years at dance Competitions such as Dance Makers Inc., Access Broadway and Dance Educators of America. Once Graduating from High School, I have been teaching for the past 3 years and I love it so much. I have choreographed dances for competitions, weddings, parties, recitals and more! My teaching style consist of explaining the information, asking open ended questions and re-explaining the information again. If I notice the student is having trouble answering the questions then I use a different teaching approach. I try to relate the questions to something the person has experienced in his/her culture.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with kids from the moment I graduated high school in 1999. I worked in many different areas teaching cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. Although these are not curriculum built, this still took a lot of skill. Patience, organization, commitment, and teaching style was vitally important in my success. Dealing with kids ages 4 to 18 really showed me how to be a strong leader as well as a great communicator.
