As a Cum Laude graduate from the University of Florida, I continue to hold a high level of discipline in every aspect of life. Whether it be at work, at home, or at school, I feel it is imperative to do your best no matter what the situation. Upon graduation at the age of twenty, I began teaching undergraduate courses for UF. This was an honor, but it was not challenging enough. It was not until I helped students with severe mental and physical disabilities that I felt fulfilled in my profession. Being able to teach student who are eager to learn, but have obstacles during the learning path, is a blessing! I have been blessed to teach students of all grade levels (PK-College) and have tutored students from ages 5 to 25.
Hands on teaching and kinesthetic learning are key to success in my mind. I love to involve the student's entire body in the learning process. From their senses to their movements to memory device techniques in the form of song or poem, using alternative methods of teaching seems more effective in the learning process.
