I have taught school for 28 years. I have taught K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade. I attended a business college for executive secretary and medical coding. I have worked in the summers at temporary services in between teaching at various secretarial jobs. In addition, I received my medical coding certificate this summer. I am a very positive person. I read to my child every night from when hwas age 1 through 8 years old. I read aloud in front of the class (60 students) when I was in my Spanish and English classes in high school. However best the student learns. I believe in "hands-on" whenever this is feasible. I have limited experience in tutoring. The experiences include tutoring student nurses in the clinical facilities and in the Fundamentals of Nursing. When I worked with the students in the facilities, I would always demonstrate an organized way of assessing a patient from head-to-toe. I would ask a patient to agree to this procedure.
