I prefer using activities to introduce new concepts and to veryfy, validate, and or, proof the information that we collect from a lesson. I am patient and I listen to students very well before I make judgements. I taught middle school and high school Language and Literature for two years at a private school. During that time I also tutored in the subjects of history, math, and science. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Education and have had refresher courses in the areas of study outside of my initial degree. I love working with students and have taken courses specifically in test prep.
I am an active teacher. I want students to understand the subject in the context of their own lives as opposed to just learning definitions. If they can realate the information to an actual happening, they are more likely to remember. A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate, I became very passionate about the sciences and graduated with a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology and Biology. During my collegiate years, I Peer Tutored for General and Organic Chemistry laboratories and held review sessions for these courses. During my latter two years, I also tutored at the Writing Center, acting as Lead Tutor during my senior year. I worked with students at all stages of the writing process and in every academic discipline to strengthen their written skills.
