I like to go through the problem with the student. I will go through the steps as necessary and I like for the student to ask questions along the way. Got a degree at Texas Tech in mathematics with a minor in Mechanical Engineering. I have more experience with helping others who know what they are doing but needed that little nudge in understanding a certain subject. I specialize more in applied math rather than proofs or pure mathematics. I don't do a lot of tutoring nowadays but I understand how college is and how college students work. Take this advice: studying a lot is the way to really succeed and even the most brilliant students have to do it (try studying for actuarial tests and you'll find this out real quick!).
