My parents were born and raised in brazil. I go to brazil every year because my entire family lives there. My parents only speak to me in Portuguese so that way ill never lose my ability to speak it. It's always been a major part of my life. When I was two years old until I was about 5 I loved in brazil with my mom and sister so Portuguese was the first language I actually learned how to speak.
