I have a great deal of experience in caring for children and adolescents inlcuing those with mental and behavioral disorders. that experience stems from work with the Sheriff's department to providing afterschool care for children where part of the job is to assist in school work. Teacher seeks tutoring students

I love hands-on activities and learning experiences that include technology. I also like to include activities that appeal to all types of learning styles. I have used and implemented Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences when planning and implementing lessons.
I Have been a teacher since 2002. I have had various experience in teaching students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, PDD, ODD, as well as other learning, social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. I have also had experience tutoring students from grades one to ten. I have had to plan and implement individual education plans as well as independent lessons for various students. I have worked with children from all types of schools including inner city and charter schools.

I love the experience of teaching children and seeing the light in their eyes when they understand what they are learning. I believe each child learns in their own way and in their own time. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with all different ages of students, from 3rd grade to college, and enjoyed all of my experiences. I find that no matter who the student is I enjoy teaching and helping other, helping an individual to not only grasp concepts but develop a stronger self confidence in their learning. I am good at adapting to a variety of learning styles, especially since I have found that I learn from a variety of types myself. I have always been extremely patient when teaching others and found the act of teaching to be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things for me.
