As a college student, I wanted to help other struggling students as well as polish my own skills. I decided that tutoring students would be a great job to earn money and achieve some personal goals. In addition, I played college sports so my students were other athletes. I have tutored students in math, accounting, finance, English, and various other business classes.
My teaching style is very hands on. I like to work the problems out with the students and show them how to do each step. I love questions and I love for the student to fully understand. I want the student to fully comprehend what they are doing. If not, they will never be able to do it without me there. A Little Bit About Me...

I personally prefer one on one interaction for tutoring . I would first determine areas which need to strengthened. ThenI would emphasize these areas in the instruction process.Then I would assign work (exercises,problems,questions). These would then be reviewed to determine the students grasp of the material.These areas would be worked on until the student had an adequate grasp of the material. Accounting is a subject that is learned by doing.Certainally a student has to read the material,but actual hands on doing is where real learning and retention take place.Most of my tutoring hs been volunteering , but generally with minimal instruction those I have assisted have increased there scores 15% to 20%.

I am currently employed as a Regional Revenue Manager responsible for daily functions of increasing revenue for hotels that I serve. I have to utilize various levels of math everyday to be successful, through this employment and working in banking and as a treasurer for a church, I believe my expertise will help me be a great tutor for you and your student.
As an adult graduate of a local university, I believe that everyone has their own learning style.
