As a college student, I wanted to help other struggling students as well as polish my own skills. I decided that tutoring students would be a great job to earn money and achieve some personal goals. In addition, I played college sports so my students were other athletes. I have tutored students in math, accounting, finance, English, and various other business classes.
My teaching style is very hands on. I like to work the problems out with the students and show them how to do each step. I love questions and I love for the student to fully understand. I want the student to fully comprehend what they are doing. If not, they will never be able to do it without me there. Confidence is key and that can be achieved through repetition and a full understanding.

I love learning and the precision arts such as mathematics. This has driven me to begin in a computer career. I spent almost two decades applying my computer skills. Learning has never stopped for me. But then I love the outdoors and working with my hands. I have taught myself the carpentry trade and the concrete business. I started out by sitting down with the manuals and memorized the building codes before I built my own house. Recently I applied mathematics to a roof I was building. Simple, yes, but not everyone would take the time to lay it out on paper and get accurate measurements.
