In my senior year in college, I had an opportunity to work at a psychiatric residential treatment program, where I worked with adolescents with serious mental disturbances. Since I graduated from the University of Michigan, I have spent a lot of time helping young adults learn and "learn how to learn". I majored in Japanese language and literature and later earned a masters in TESOL from the College of New Rochelle.
