During my Doctoral candidate years, I worked as both a engineering lecturer and laboratory instructor for 3 different engineering fields. The fields were circuit design, applied mathematics and practical laboratory equipment usage. I also gave lectures in Applied Optics (physics) for Seniors at Clarkson University during my last Doctoral year (1984-85) at campus. Subject material can be confusing and very intimidating. I speak from experience. When I tutor students, I ask where they feel they need the most help and where they are doing well, to help them with their uncertainties and increase their confidence.
