I graduated from St. Lawrence University, a liberal arts foundation of learning that has served me judiciously on the metaphorical road of life. While completing my masters in Special Education, I have learned creative ways to help children with special needs that I work with. I have designed and coordinated a Resource Center to help students with special needs learn and achieve at their level. I have also designed and implemented a school for children with special needs. I believe in talking through problems using visual ideas and simplified concepts. I prefer teaching with graphics and concepts, and then relating them to formulas and equations. While I expect hard work from my students, I also have the patience to help them understand at their own pace. I am a currently a working civil engineer specializing in bridge design (steel and concrete structures). I received scores of 760 in Math on both the SAT I and II, and a score of 800 in Math on the GRE's. I have taken several high level calculus, engineering mathematics, and statistics classes at the University of Delaware, aside from receiving a 5 on both the Calculus and the Statistics AP Exams.
