My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I utilize the Orton-Gillingham method to teach phonics.

Teaching reading to students of all ages is and has been my love in education. I identify student learning styles and strengths, then use strategies which best suit the student to strengthen reading weaknesses. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a reserve teacher for the last five years in the Dayton public School system. I teacher basic education from grade k-12, but my best subject is k-3 and I am getting my certify license in early childhood education at Central State. I just got done with my student teaching and that was very educational for me because it was just about what I was already doing in teaching but it let me know that I was doing what I had learning in school. I also worked 8 years for a company that provided Title 1 services to non-public schools in the city of Dayton.
