I have a tendency to push myself, I was persuing a double major in college in Math and Musical Theater but made a last minute decision to focus on my math career. I then pushed myself to achieve a master's degree in Secondary Education in only a year. I began tutoring in college when I decided that I wanted to go into teaching. I gained experiences tutoring Statistics, all levels of Calculus and college Algebra. I was never at the top of my class but I was above average so I feel I understand both the students who come to understand topics well as well as those who need a little help. I finished my degree by going to summer and night school; I graduated in 1979. I was the first in my family to go to college and I am very proud of that. I have become a much better writer and am much more aware of grammar through writing reports, technical papers and SOPs.
