Experience Summary
I have earned two Masters degrees in education as well as National Boards Certification. My GPA has been between 3.5 and 4.0 for all semesters. I have gained distinguished educator each year for the last 18 and proficient all the years prior during my 28 year teaching career.
I have proven success with students as I boast that all my students have passed state tests in all curriculum areas.
Teaching Style
My philosophy around human learning and knowledge retention involves relationships. Human beings are connected to each other and to all wisdom. Establishing healthy and loving relationships with students and their families facilitates that all key players gain knowledge and are afforded the opportunity to develop deep understandings of concepts taught, increase retention time and improve retrieval. I embrace the National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards five core propositions. The first indicates that accomplished teachers know their students and know each of their students’s learning styles and needs. Adults responsible for children’s learning must make the effort to know all that might help them understand their students’ strengths and build on those strengths.
