Previously, while a member of the national honor society in high school I tutored many elementary and high school students in subjects such as math, science, and history. In my experience, most students under perform in science and math due to the an inability to relate theses subjects to practical real life examples. Connecting chemistry and physics principles with analogous real life examples is the key for students to become both interested and proficient in these subjects.
