Teaching Style
I have always enjoyed working with young people. I take the time needed to assess each student's learning styles and I am well versed in what works for students of each type (visual, oral, kinesthetic and their subcategories). I am patient and use the student's strengths to help them overcome their weaknesses. I believe that a student can learn what ever is required of them if the teacher takes the time to work with the student. It is important to me that my students and I become a team in their learning and that the student is comfortable asking questions and sharing their difficulties so that I can understand the student's needs. If more educators were given the time to do the needed assessments, our students would be more successful.
