A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer to tutor face to face as opposed to online.
I am in my 4th year of college at Texas State University where I have received a mathematics academic achievement award. I am going to Texas State majoring in mathematics and minoring in secondary education. I have completed many math courses as well as teaching courses since I have been at Texas State. More About This Tutor...

I consider my teaching style to be interactive. I like for the student to be constantly involved in the lesson and not just listening. I have found that if the student participates more, the student will learn more quickly. I also believe students enjoy learning more if they have some input into the methods used to teach. I like to give them a few choices for activities to do. The student is more receptive to new material if they feel that they had a choice in how the material was introduced to them.
From Novemeber of 2008 until November of 2009, I was an English Teacher at Wilshire Korea Language School in Busan, South Korea. I taught children from the ages of 7 - 18. We covered conversational English, Reading, Essay writing, and listening comprehension.
