I have been teaching since I was young. I have tutored students since the age of 14 and I have taught students from ages 3 to 18 years old. I have been teaching in the Texas public school system for the last 4 years and I have loved every minute of it! I have taught all grades from Kindergarten to 5th as a special education inclusion teacher. As an inclusion teachers I have been able to teach grade level content to students who understand it but need for it to be taught in a different way. I am excellent at lesson differentiation and working with individuals who need help the most. As a Special Education teacher at heart, I firmly believe that education needs to be guided by the student. I may have a lesson to teach but I am constantly changing the lesson depending on the individual student. I believe that learning should be a fun experience that is according the the learners pace.

Am considered an expert in dyslexia. I know of other special ed issues that can coexhist. I help you to understand the difficulties your child has, and what can be done about them. Some have coexisting auditory processing and/or visual processing disorders. I teach you what those are, and what can be done about them. I teach you who can help you identify these problems and make the appropriate referrals. I can pick out the dyslexic after after meeting with students and determine that they are dyslexic, then the diagnostic work confirms they are. I have also been correct about the child having ADD/ADHD and may have an auditory processing disorder and/or a visual processing disorder. While in New York State, I was employed through the Alternative Suspension Program as an LVN. While there,I assisted with the teaching of students. This in turn gave me the opportunity to obtain my certification in Teaching. I remained in this position for two years. During this time, I had my own case load of 5-8 students grade 7-12. Following this position, I was employed at a tutor for those youth who were home bound. I attended college later in life. Recently, the opportunity arose to better myself. I chose Early Childhood Education and then continued on to obtain my Bachelor's Degree. Following this, I returned to school for Nursing. Eventually, we moved to Texas where I applied,tested and obtained my LCCA License.
