I start out with discussing the area of weakness with the student and then try to investigate why this might be the area of weakness. Once this is discovered, I teach the student (through examples) until they understand the topic with which they need help. I am a native speaker of Russian. I was born and grew up in the former Soviet Union and I moved to the US in 2008.
