A Little Bit About Me...

Graduating from three different institutions, I have earned two master and a bachelor degrees – MS in Biology and MA in Special Education, and BA in Biology. Math and Science have my main strengths in earning the degrees. Being deaf since birth, I have learned a lot about deaf people – especially children with their delayed language and math skills. I want to give something back of what I have excelled in education. Many people and children deserve the education and help they need in order to make progress in math.
Teaching for 11 years in deaf education, I have enjoyed seeing a growth in my students’ math academic progress in middle school and high school level. As a Language Arts teacher, I am well versed in many conceptual approaches to learning and mastering reading and writing. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been very passionate about teaching struggling students, particularly in the area of reading. From 2000-2004, I taught struggling 8th grade readers and could see the impact that being behind in literacy skills has on students. Although I had already returned once to PSU in order to add my special education endorsement to my teaching license, I decided to return again to PSU and complete the Graduate Reading Program.
