My teaching style varies by person, because not everyone learns the same way. I adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the person.
I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. I am willing to teach in a library, in the student's home, on-line, or in another area that is agreed upon by both myself and the parent. Hearing Impaired is one of my top subjects! I've had lots of opportunities to learn about and train for interpreting for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.

I've graduated from two interpreting training programs from two different colleges in two different states. ASL is a great passion of mine, as is the subject of psychology.I interact with people from the deaf community daily. I just finished interning through the Knoxville Center of the Deaf. I've interpreted at some festivals, a Shakespeare play, church, accounting appointments and some medical appointments.

I work with all different types of learners such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and read write when it comes to students. I make sure that the children and adults will understand the course material and subject matter they are working on of their own academics.
