In my experience as a musician, I have found that teaching a subject I love can really inspire students to excel. It's necessary to spread our knowledge to others. My specialty is music, but I love to teach in general because kids need good mentors. Each child is different so I use an individualized approach to my teaching styles. We all learn differently whether we are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners. I asses the student and provide the material/exercises necessary in order to create the best learning experience possible.

Teaching is a great joy for me, as it is easy to see I love working with children of all ages. I enjoy the challenge that arises when teaching a group of children that learn in different ways. Understanding that it is important for all to learn, finding creative ways to get points across and bring the students into the topic has always been amazing. Engaging them in the subjects, not just talking to them, motivates them to be more attentive. This method also allows them to see what they know. A Little Bit About Me...

When working towards my teaching certification I was in many classrooms from Kindergarten to 12th Grade in Pueblo School District 60. After graduation I applied and got a teaching job and I taught at Skyview Middle School in District 49 for 4 years teaching Ancient Civilizations. Before that I was a substitute in District 8, 2, 3, 60, 48 all southern Colorado school districts.
I am a holistic teacher who likes for students to experience the subject. For example I would have student immerse themselves into the subject of history and complete a project and present it to the other students. It was really successful and had students waiting all year.

I´ve been teaching since 10 years ago. I´ve been teaching from 1st grade to 12th grade. I was teaching stimulation with music at a special school for kids with disabilities, I was there 5 years, it was in Mexico. I worked with ADD, Autism, Asperger's, Dyslexia, and others. And my other experience was with normal kids teaching music.
I love teaching with children, they can be a better people than us, if we are a good teachers for them. Every child is a great person in the future and they have potential for learning. Most of my career experience has been in News-Editorial and creative writing. As my daughter and son (now young adults) have grown and matured, I have been involved at several levels and in various paid and volunteer capacities as teacher, assistant/aide, and tutor.
