I have been teaching at Ohio Business College for the past 4 years. I have taught several accounting courses at the associate degree level. I tutor students that are having difficulty with class material. I also teach students through independent study, where we cover the same material as a regular course, but without a class lecture.
I knew after taking a couple of courses when I went back to graduate school in 2003 that I wanted to go into teaching, at least on a part time basis. My daughter is an elementary school teacher, and I felt that I had an influence on her choice of a major. I enjoy seeing students learn. I start with the basics and then as the student can handle it we go to the next step. It is a step by step hands on learning that I normally use when the student demonstrates that they have learned the material and can put it to use, I then introduce the next step. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a tax accountant and only work during tax season. Throughout the last several years I have been tutoring several students in accounting (college level) as a volunteer. I have also tutored high school math previously. I volunteer extensively with an inner city ministry group when I am not working and as such also have done some training and teaching. I have taken graduate level accounting and h.r. courses - but have decided not to pursue my MBA at this time.
