I was a Supply instructor for Atlanta Public Schools for approximately eight years, and have a degree in English. I worked at the middle grades level in various subjects, as required, with a primary focus in math. I unfortunately do not have the materials left from my employ, but can tutor using computers, and school materials for reference. The realization that children do well in small group instructional settings, and on an individual tutoring basis, is what I took most from my years in the classroom. My focus is to ascertain the instructional level needed, then instruct for that standpoint. I do not like busywork, but instead look for progress in the individual child.
