The realization that children do well in small group instructional settings, and on an individual tutoring basis, is what I took most from my years in the classroom. My focus is to ascertain the instructional level needed, then instruct for that standpoint. I do not like busywork, but instead look for progress in the individual child. Once the subject is mastered, then it is time to move on to other subjects. The compensation is negotiable depending on the number of children tutored.
