Teaching Style
My tutoring style is calm, patient, and encouraging. I have high expectations for my tutoring students. I also strive to discover how a student learns, whether it be seeing it, hearing it, feeling it, or a combination of the three. I am a proponent of hands-on learning, and believe that a tutor’s role is to be a facilitator of a student’s curiosity and achievements. Through implementing a learning plan with attainable goals based on the student’s background and individual learning style, he or she can not only successfully learn the material, but enjoy exploring the depths of the subject matter. I desire that my students have fun with their learning (creativity is key!) by providing them with the tools to achieve success.
