A Little Bit About Me...

I have taken care of children in the past and helped them with their homework. I have also assisted many classmates with problem sets. I have experience with students of varying ages. I try to take on a patient approach to working out problems with the students. The approach does depend on the age of the student I am working with. With younger students I tend to walk them straight to the answer without giving it away while with older students, I will try to point them in the right direction, and give them several examples in order for them to see how it is worked out.
I like to take a relaxed approach to teaching. I try to apply problems to real-life situations to make them easier to relate to. My goal is that the student will learn the material well enough to handle the situation when it resurfaces later.

It is NEVER too late to learn, nor right to learn only 1 way

I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.
I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.
