Experience Summary
I have taken care of children in the past and helped them with their homework. I have also assisted many classmates with problem sets. I have experience with students of varying ages.
I try to take on a patient approach to working out problems with the students. The approach does depend on the age of the student I am working with. With younger students I tend to walk them straight to the answer without giving it away while with older students, I will try to point them in the right direction, and give them several examples in order for them to see how it is worked out.
Teaching Style
I like to take a relaxed approach to teaching. I try to apply problems to real-life situations to make them easier to relate to. My goal is that the student will learn the material well enough to handle the situation when it resurfaces later.
