I am a very adaptable teacher--I can easily pick up on a student's needs and abilities, and work to their strengths in that way. I enjoy not only helping them learn, but also their backstory and considering how it affects their learning style. I also have an innate love of learning, and feel that it's a great gift to help someone realize their own potential. During my undergrad studies at UWRF, I was sponsored to become a tutor in the Writing Center on campus. There was a prerequisite practicum, but it was very hands-on learning. I worked with students from a variety of backgrounds (ESL, freshman comp, MS candidates, etc). As cliché as this sounds - my favorite part of teaching is the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference. I have interacted with individuals across countless backgrounds and understand the idea of each student needing to hear things in their own terms. When in undergraduate school for physics I acted as a tutor for portions of my junior and senior years. I tutored students in general physics I & II, as well as calculus I & II.
